CIA Whistleblower Says Intel Shadow Government is Blocking Trump and Shielding China

A former senior CIA operations officer is now putting words to what millions of Americans have suspected for years, that unelected intelligence officials have been quietly treating themselves as the real power in Washington.

James Erdman III, speaking with investigative journalist Catherine Herridge, described a culture inside the intelligence community where career officials see themselves as the “adults in the room.”

That phrase always seems to show up right before the voters are told their choices need adult supervision.

Herridge displayed papers marked “DRAFT” and referenced an email reportedly tied to FBI Foreign Interference Task Force Lead Nikki Floris.

The message allegedly stated, “I am basically running a shadow government inside the FBI right now.”

Herridge then asked the obvious question. “Is there a shadow government?”

“There’s certainly people who believe that they are the adults in the room, and they’re here to make sure that the political leaders that are in charge, we can’t let them do anything too crazy. We’re here to make sure we temper their worst tendencies,” Erdman replies.

“I think that in effect, what you have are people who act as a shadow government, whether they know they’re doing it or not.”
