he “real” name of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) has been revealed in a federal court filing with an identical surname to that of her ex-husband — and rumored brother, The Post has learned.
Prosecutors referred to the Minnesota Democrat as “Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, a/k/a Ilhan Abdullahi Omar,” in a Wednesday filing in DC federal court, which officials and legal experts said was indicative of the evidence compiled so far in an immigration fraud investigation into the “Squad” rep.
A source familiar with the investigation confirmed that Omar is not the congresswoman’s “real” last name, meaning she was born with the last name of Elmi, just like her alleged brother-husband. It’s unclear what charges could result from her purported use of an alias, which was first reported by Fox News.
