Hidden Camera Video Exposes Sen. Elissa Slotkin Outlining Democrats’ ‘Signature Cases’ for January Lawfare if They Win Midterms
Michigan Democrat Sen. Elissa Slotkin was recorded in an undercover video laying out a concrete plan for what Democrats intend to do if they regain a congressional majority in the midterms, describing preselected “signature cases” of alleged corruption that they would pursue in every committee starting in January.
The clip, obtained by Townhall and posted Friday on the outlet’s X account, was filmed Thursday at a Michigan campaign event where Slotkin was appearing in support of congressional candidate Sean McCann.
During the exchange, an undercover reporter expressed concern that Democrats might be “too nice” and pressed Slotkin on prosecutions against the Trump administration and its allies.
Slotkin responded that she was “with you” and outlined the plan.
“We have a list of, like, the ‘signature cases.’ So the things where it’s, like, so egregious, such a violation of law, such a corruption case… and we will have, in every committee, there will be the ‘signature cases’ where we hold people accountable.”
Slotkin added that these would be the matters “that people identify with.”
The senator specifically named the White House ballroom project in the East Wing, the reflecting pool renovation on the National Mall, and “$200 million in, you know, from the Defense Department” as examples.
“So that’s what you’ll see basically in January.”
