A slew of toxic Swamp monsters lost their respective races on Tuesday that any decent GOP candidate, standard midterm shifts away from the incumbent part in the White House notwithstanding, would have won handily.
Lindsey Graham’s ditzy nepo-sister went down in flames; South Carolina, of all places, will now have a Democrat senator for the next six years.
Governor Greg Abbot, who once declared Texas “land for the Indian community”, took the L. (Texas, once a GOP stronghold and an electoral college bulwark for Republicans, is now effectively a blue state, with every statewide office held by a Democrat.)
But none deserved to go down in ignominy more, or are more emblematic of the rot in the political class, than pharma scammer dirtbag Vivek Ramaswamy.
Down Goes Vivek — Hard! Will the GOP Learn Any Lessons?
Vivek took a long fall from grace on Tuesday in perhaps the most well-deserved election loss since Hillary Clinton smashed her face on that glass ceiling in 2016, losing out to Democrat Amy Acton in the Ohio gubernatorial race.
Since its inception, the Armageddon Prose north star position on electoral politics is that 99% of politicians are greasy sleazeballs, a maxim vindicated in spades and only further vindicated with the progression of time.
So a lack of character in a politician is baked into the cake.
“Character” in politics only matters insofar as you can trust a politician to do what he says you (the voter) he’s going to do and what you (the voter) elect him to do. (They usually don’t.)
Still, just when you thought the sleazy business of politics couldn’t get any sleazier, Vivek has managed to lower the bar.
In the hands-down most shameless, vulgar campaign ad of all time, Vivek dispatched his minions out into the field to dig his opponent’s homeless and clearly deranged mother out of the car she was living in with her twenty cats to cut a video of her denouncing her own daughter, calling her a liar and urging Ohioans to vote for Vivek.
Vivek’s own senior campaign staff ardently urged him not to run it, but Vivek, being a sociopath, pulled the trigger anyway — and spent a million campaign dollars pushing it out on the Ohio airwaves until the brutal backlash forced him to pull it.
Aside from the poor optics and abject immorality of leveraging a family dispute to score political points, the backstory came out — as anyone could have told Vivek it would: this “mother” stood by for years while her husband raped her own daughter, Vivek’s opponent Amy Acton, from the age of nine to twelve years old, then fled with him to avoid facing trial after he was indicted, never to see her daughter again. Her husband remained a fugitive from the law until he died, and the mother remained by his side until the day he left the Earth.
(In addition to the obvious grotesquery to anyone with a sense of decency, a bonus reason I found this ad so egregious personally is that I have firsthand experience with family members publicly denouncing me for political points — an unforgiveable act of disloyalty and misplaced priorities that only reveals the poor character of the one doing the denouncing.)
However, that was far from the only spit in the face that Vivek delivered to the people whose votes he expected:
· As I covered at the time at Armageddon Prose, Vivek in 2024 trashed legacy American culture on Christmas as a “veneration of the mediocre,” which he contrasted to his clearly superior Indian culture.

· Tries and fails to sell the “people of my generation have already made it. We’re gonna be fine“ line to a crowd of young adults just before being heckled and booed off stage
· Shoots a campaign video at the batting cages of swinging the bat like a total fruitcake, betraying his total lack of experience, interest, or respect for the game, as if to say “these hayseeds like baseball, right? Let’s upload an Instagram video of me down at the cages looking like a limp-wristed flamer. That’ll win hearts and minds.”
As I also covered previously in detail at Armageddon Prose in January 2025, long before it became common knowledge, before he became a politician Vivek made his billions primarily through an elaborate, years-long pump-and-dump scheme in which he picked an obsolete drug that everyone knew didn’t work off the shelf, Axovant, and then pimped it to gullible investors and family members of people with Alzheimer’s based on fraudulent science — for an extra dose of sadism, getting their hopes up on false premises — while he quietly sold off all of his personal shares and made off with all the cash before the inevitable crash.
Here he is in 2015 doing the hard sell with fellow fraud and tool Jim Cramer, who is literally wrong about everything all the time yet somehow remains in the employ of CNBC to this day.

All of which is to say: what else would you expect aside from manipulation, avarice and degeneracy from such a creature?

Now Ohio is left with a COVID totalitarian for governor, who appears to perhaps have a substance abuse issue and mental health issues. (With a mother like hers, and a stepfather who perpetrated that kind of abuse on her as a kid, it’s not hard to understand why. One can sympathize with her without electing her to run a state.)
Theoretically, of course, Ohioans could have opted for a third-party candidate, but the structure of the electoral system all but guarantees one of the two major parties always wins.
Democracy™!

The upshot
Politics has never been static, and the rate of change only increases over time.
Now that the GOP establishment has fully blown its credibility, the soul of the party is unquestionably up for grabs; whoever or whatever faction wants it the most and has the best strategy will win out.
The caveat is that the Grand Old Party’s ossified leadership isn’t going to reform itself; that can only happen at the hands of a mass popular and populist movement in the vein of the Tea Party, then the Ron Paul Revolution, then MAGA — only without the astroturfing, co-opting bullshit from special interests this time.
The bottom line is that, if there is any hope left worth placing in electoral politics, everyone running the GOP machinery who pimped Ramaswamy to the public needs to be purged forever from any position of power.
All of them.
Gone.
Forever.
They all ought to be selling insurance or performing in carnivals; they have forever disqualified themselves from any political legitimacy.
Democrats have all of the glory they could hope to bask in for the moment, but the party is only actually popular at this particular moment in time relative to the GOP; because of the nature of the technocratic duopoly captured by the aforementioned special interests, it’s a guarantee that they’ll disappoint the independents who voted for them this go-around out of sheer frustration with the status quo.
As for the likes of Vivek and their future, I hope they have none.
As far as Vivek in particular is concerned, my most fervent wish is that the Democrats figure out a way to deport him.
Unfortunately, they won’t touch a hair on his giant oversized head, because, however much they might otherwise be inclined to throw the book at him if he were a white man (literal Satan), if Democrats love anything, it’s migrants and pharma scammers — and especially migrant pharma scammers.

It might be a pipe dream, but far from just having his political career ruined, which it appears to be, I won’t be satisfied until his ill-gotten gains are confiscated and he’s deported back to his native India where scamming is a way of life, where he’ll feel much more at home.
