Wyoming Republicans Push to Eliminate Gun-Free Zones in Public Places

AWR Hawkins Wyoming State Sen. Anthony Bouchard (R-Cheyenne) is pushing to eliminate gun-free zones on college and K-12 campuses as well other public areas that currently ban concealed carry. KOTA reports that Bouchard’s bill, Senate File 75, would not impact the ability of private property owners to set their own policies, but it would prevent publicly funded entities from restricting the exercise of Second Amendment rights. Part of the motivation for the bill came from the University of Wyoming’s continued ban against concealed carry for self-defense. The Gillette News Record reports that SF 75 would mean concealed permit holders in...

by AWR Hawkins House Democrats are pushing legislation that will require Americans to get government permission before buying a gun in any setting, retail or otherwise. On January 8, 2019, Breitbart News reported that the Democrats put forward legislation criminalizing private gun sales. Such sales are those between a life-long friend and someone he or she has known for 50 years; they are sales between neighbors, sales between co-workers, etc. In fact, they are gun sales that have been occurring in the United States since December 15, 1791, the date the Second Amendment was ratified. But Democrats are pushing...

Boulder Gun Owners Rebel Against City Ordinance Banning “Assault Weapons”

Posted by Kemberlee Kaye Even liberal gun owners love their guns The insurrection is alive and well in Boulder, Colorado where ‘gun-toting hippies’ (many of who are liberal) are refusing to comply with a new city ordinance that bans “assault weapons.” In a city with a population just over 100,000, only 342 guns were ‘certified’ by Boulder police before year end. The Washington Times has more: Boulder’s newly enacted “assault weapons” ban is meeting with stiff resistance from its “gun-toting hippies,” staunch liberals who also happen to be devoted firearms owners. Only 342 “assault weapons,” or semiautomatic rifles, were...
