Fox Shep Smith Mocks FBI Surveillance

Washington (CNN) — FBI Director Robert Mueller acknowledged the law enforcement agency uses drone aircraft in the United States for surveillance in certain difficult cases. Mueller told the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday that drones are used by the FBI in a “very, very minimal way and very seldom.” He did not say how many unmanned surveillance vehicles (UAVs) the FBI has or how often they have been used. But a law enforcement official told CNN the FBI has used them a little more than a dozen times but did not say when that started. The official said drones are… View Article

Palin: Abolish the IRS

On Saturday, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin said that the IRS–and much of the federal bureaucracy–needs to be abolished. Appearing on Fox News’ “Cashin In” with Eric Bolling, Palin said that she agreed with Tea Partiers who want to abolish the IRS, suggesting that it would undercut much of the cronyism rampant in Washington. She said the tax code needs to be simplified with the adoption of a flat tax. “That way we can abolish the bureaucracy that is so burdensome and expensive, and it would allow some sledgehammering of the crony capitalism and the corruption within [government],” Palin said. When asked about… View Article

Hong Kong Lets Snowden Slip Away to Russia–En Route to Cuba?

News agencies report that Edward Snowden, the former contractor who exposed National Security Agency (NSA) surveillance programs, left Hong Kong early Sunday, en route to Russia. His final destination, according to Russian sources cited by the Wall Street Journal, is the communist dictatorship of Cuba, though activists from Wikileaks asserted that Snowden is traveling via Russia with Wikileaks legal advisors to a “democratic” country. Hong Kong, which has an extradition treaty with the United States, declined to comply with a request by the U.S. government that it detain Snowden, who was formally charged with espionage and theft in federal court in Virginia… View Article

Genetic chains: Alarming new study of Monsanto feed on pigs

UK Environment officials praise GMO crops as ‘safer than conventional’ ones, but a recent study reveals more sobering evidence that the world urgently needs to ask fundamental safety questions about genetic engineering of the human food chain. The first long term study of the effects on inner organs from a diet of Monsanto GMO maize and GMO soya has just been released. The results are shocking and validate the September 2012 long-term study by Prof. Gilles-Eric Seralini of the effects on rats of a diet of GMO Maize. Despite the fact that feeding pigs and cattle and other animals… View Article

Yahoo! News Claims Obama Was Born In Kenya

It appears someone at Yahoo! News has opened one too many email messages from  Orly Taitz. On Friday, the website actually published a piece claiming Kenya was Barack  Obama’s country of birth: Someone eventually caught the error as there is now  a correction: Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly  identified the president’s birthplace. President Barack Obama makes the first extended trip to Africa of his  presidency next week—but he won’t be stopping in his ancestral  homeland. For some real fun, check out liberals  going absolutely nuts on… View Article

How to Arm the Citizenry

Kyle Coplen may not be a sidesaddle gunslinger — the 29-year-old got his master’s in public administration from the University of Houston this spring — but he can handle a weapon. And he is working to make sure you can, too. Coplen is the founder and head of the Armed Citizen Project (ACP), a Houston-based nonprofit that trains single women and residents of crime-ridden neighborhoods in firearms use — and then arms them. It’s a small-scale effort so far, but Coplen has lofty targets. ACP aims to arm citizens in 15 cities nationwide by the end of 2013,… View Article

80 percent of US packaged foods may contain dangerous chemicals

Roughly 80 percent of all the packaged foods sold within the United States contain chemicals outlawed in other parts of the world, Britain’s Daily Mail reports. Six common food additives found in an estimated 8-out-of-10  products sold in American stores are banned outside of the US,  the Mail claims, putting millions of Americans at risk of  consuming chemicals considered too dangerous for humans in other  countries. Grocery shop items including best-selling soft-drinks and cereal  sold in the US contain additives such as brominated vegetable  oil, olestra and others that have been banned in the European  Union and elsewhere. The Daily… View Article

Duma gives final approval to same sex couples adoptions ban

The Russian Lower House approved the bill that includes a ban on adoptions of Russian children by foreign same sex couples. The bill on state help to orphans and children deprived of  parental support was passed by a unanimous vote with 444 MPs  voting for it. The document provides for a radical increase in  allowances to foster families and also allows state sponsorship  of medical help that Russian orphans receive abroad. Also the  adoption procedure has been simplified – court decisions allowing  adoptions will come into force in 10 days instead of the previous  30 days, and the law allows… View Article

Did Navy sub missile hit TWA 800?

The impending release of a new documentary has dramatically revived media  interest in the destruction of TWA Flight 800, the Paris-bound plane that blew  up off the coast of Long Island in July 1996. Although producers Tom Stalcup and Kristina Borjesson do not name names or  point fingers, the video leads the viewer to believe that the U.S. Navy  accidentally shot the plane down. The video features a half-dozen truth tellers from within the investigation,  and the news of it has inspired several more to step forward, including one who  talked with WND about… View Article

Bill Ayers: Try Obama for ‘War Crimes’

Former domestic terrorist and liberal educator Bill Ayers may think Obama is a charming and likable but still wants him tried for war crimes. Ayers cited the president’s drone program and military campaigns in Afghanistan and other places. In a continuing video series called the RCP Morning Commute, where well-known Chicagoans and folks in the news take a “morning commute” drive with the Charlie Stone and Tom Bevan of Real Clear Politics, Bill Ayers made his assessment of the Obama presidency. And he wasn’t wholly complimentary. When asked to grade the president’s term in office, the infamous educator proclaimed Obama’s… View Article
