The New York State Senate passed a controversial bill on Wednesday that aims to classify ‘aggravated harassment of a police officer’ as a crime, but will it give the authorities the green light for strong-arm tactics if passed? DHS defends suspicionless searches of laptops and cell phones

  The United States government doesn’t need a reason to seize and search the cell phones, laptops and other electronic devices of Americans entering the country, according to a Department of Homeland Security document provided to the press this week. Free gun initiative begins in Houston neighborhood

NSA Inadvertently Intercepted Emails, Phone Calls of Innocent Americans

Two former U.S. intelligence officials tell NBC News that the National Security Agency’s (NSA) massive trawling program previously scooped up the private email messages and phone calls of innocent Americans with no ties to terrorism.
