Woman’s Own Camera Busts Her Shooting At, Setting Fire To Neighbor’s Home

Annie Durham’s home security cameras captured video of her shooting at her neighbor’s house and then setting it on fire.

Del City, OK – A woman was caught by her own security cameras firing a gun into an abandoned house before she used a stick to throw a flaming rag inside it (video below).

“Determining arson, the cause of a fire, it’s very difficult for our investigators,” Del City Fire Department Chief Brandon Pursell told KFOR.

A win for public safety or a government ploy? California set to require background check for ammo sales

The bustle inside LAX Ammunition on the Friday before Father’s Day betrayed the gloom of the outside sky.

Employees inside the Los Angeles-area gun shop had their hands full chatting with customers who were looking to replenish their ammo supply before July 1, with some customers spending hundreds of dollars in the process.

Why the hurry? That’s the day a new state law will require almost all buyers to go through background checks before being able to buy bullets, potentially increasing the amount of time and money it takes to make purchases.

“We’re probably up by 400% from where we were last year for this past month, and this month, in total sales,” says Daniel Kash, the store’s president.

Walmart and China

One of Sam Walton’s earliest imports from Asia was team spirit. Enthused by a factory cheer he witnessed in 1975 at a Korean tennis ball plant, Walton instituted his own “Wal-Mart Cheer,” still a staple of the company’s corporate culture. He liked the dramatic device for its “whistle while you work philosophy.”

Early in his company’s spectacular expansion, “Mr. Sam,” as everyone called him, decided to reach across the Pacific and make imports a pillar of Wal-Mart’s business model. Forcing his American suppliers to cut costs, stressing sales volume over high margins, and wowing customers by showcasing one super low-priced item in each category — all hinged on importing to find the cheapest prices.
