Canadian Appeals Court Rules Against Trans Mountain Pipeline The federal appeal court in Canada ruled on August 30 that the application process for the Trans Mountain Pipeline was legally flawed. In a unanimous decision, the court ruled that the Canadian government failed to engage in meaningful consultations with the indigenous people who will be affected if the pipeline is built. They also declared the failure to consider the environmental impact of oil tanker traffic was unjustifiable, especially because the National Energy Board was “legally obligated” to consider all environmental effects, according to a report in the Vancouver Sun. https://cleantechnica.com/2018/08/31/canadian-appeals-court-rules-against-trans-mountain-pipeline/...

History of Rat Control In Alberta Norway rats are one of the most destructive creatures known to man. They destroy and contaminate untold quantities of food, and through their tunneling activities, they undermine the foundations of buildings, sewer and water lines as well as city streets. Even today, rats spread organisms responsible for food poisoning, hepatitis, tularemea and other diseases. Therefore, the people of Alberta are extremely fortunate not to have...

The Donald Trolls Liberals

Trump Trolls Liberals With Fantastic Video Montage Barack Obama wasn’t still talking about Sen. John McCain in July of 2010, and George W. Bush certainly never mentioned Al Gore nearly two years after he defeated the former vice president in 2000. Trump, however, is still bringing up his foe. Often, it’s to whip up crowds at campaign events, but the prime reason Trump won’t let the Hillary thing die is because he simply loves needling the press, the pollsters and the political pundits, all of whom predicted he’d lose badly to Clinton. https://www.dailywire.com/news/32770/trump-trolls-liberals-fantastic-video-montage-joseph-curl Donald Trump’s noteworthy tweets as president...

Experts say feds overpaid by $1.2 billion for Trans Mountain pipeline The federal government may have paid too much for Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain pipeline, but a petroleum marketing expert says taxpayers will be able to recoup the forecasted $11-billion investment if the project can be completed on schedule and under budget. Toronto van tragedy bonds city in blood. But no one will say the word ‘terrorism’ Any fanciful notion that we are far away from the dogs of war unleashed, from the seething corners of the world where hatred fulminates, buffered from European capitals, from American metropolises where mayhem has been inflicted down through these recent years — that comforting thought died on Monday. Along with the 10, at least, killed in a mass murder, and the 15, at least, injured, ambulances racing to hospitals and sirens blaring. An abomination of a day. https://www.thestar.com/opinion/star-columnists/2018/04/23/toronto-van-tragedy-bonds-city-in-blood-but-no-one-will-say-the-word-terrorism.html C-71 aimed at gun owners, not...

Why Universal Basic Income Is A Ridiculous Idea You know what the most ridiculous idea I’ve ever heard is? And, the crazy thing is, I keep hearing my entrepreneurial friends talk about this. People I respect, people that I admire, I hear are proponents of this idea of a universal basic income. The idea that the government should just dole out cash. Like, if robots take over all the world, we’re going to need the government to take care of us and give out a universal basic income for people so that everybody can live while the robots run...
