Alleged Missouri Gunman Ignored Firearm Ban On February 27, Joseph Jesse Aldridge allegedly shot and killed four of his cousins and three others in Tyrone, Missouri. On February 28, the Springfield News-Leader reported that Aldridge was barred from gun possession via a 2008 “federal gun charge.” According to the News-Leader, the gun conviction also involved drugs, and Aldridge “pleaded guilty to possessing a firearm while using marijuana.” He was sentenced to 21 months in prison and ordered “to participate in a mental health counseling program” and “a substance abuse treatment program” thereafter.
