Boat Migrants Landing in Italy ‘at a Pace Exceeding Anything We’ve Seen Before’

by Jack Montgomery The International Organization for Migration (IOM) estimates 20,484 migrants have arrived in Europe by sea since the beginning of 2017, with numbers likely to explode as the continent heads into spring. These totals do not include 3,312 migrants picked up off Libya on the 19th of March who are currently en route to Italy, according to the text of the IOM’s report. Including these migrants puts the number of Italian arrivals well ahead of the total for the first three months of 2015 (10,165) and the first three months of 2016 (18,777) – and March 2017 has over...

Impartiality of Federal Judge Who Blocked Trump EO May Be in Question

by Michael Patrick Leahy Theodore Chuang, the Federal District Judge for the District of Maryland who halted most elements of President Trump’s latest executive order temporarily banning travel from six Middle Eastern countries, as well as refugees from all countries, served as deputy general counsel at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in the Obama administration from 2009 to 2014. His March 15 ruling in the case, International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP) v.Trump, in which DHS, the State Department, and President Trump are defendants, raises legitimate questions about whether he should have recused himself from hearing the case in...

Mayor de Blasio to Block ICE Officers from Entering City Schools

by Mona Salama New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio declared Tuesday that his deputies will block U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents from entering New York City public schools — even though agency officials say they are not pursuing illegal immigrants in schools. “We will not allow ICE agents to threaten that protection, disrupt classes or take any action that would be detrimental to our students,” de Blasio said at a press conference held outside New York’s Tweed Courthouse Tuesday afternoon. “With these updated guidelines, we are reinforcing the fact that a school is a safe and protected...

College Students Allegedly Assaulted White Girls Because Their Hair Was “Cultural Appropriation”

Via NRO: A Hampshire College student has pleaded “not guilty” to charges related to the alleged physical assault of a white basketball player over the fact that her braids were “cultural appropriation,” and I just have to ask: What happens inside of your brain to make you think that that’s okay? According to the Daily Hampshire Gazette, 20-year-old Carmen Figuera approached some apparently non-Latina members of the Central Maine Community College women’s basketball team and demanded that they remove their braids from their heads because it was “cultural appropriation.” Now, anyone with any logical ability whatsoever should be able...

University Admin: ‘Whiteness’ Goes Against Christianity

Rob Shimshock A university administrator delivered a speech in which he described “whiteness” as “a way of thinking, a way of acting” that is fundamentally opposed to Christianity. Paul Dionne, Inclusive Success Coordinator for Beloit College’s Office for Academic Diversity and Inclusiveness, gave a speech entitled, “Working Against Whiteness” as part of a “Love Made Public” lecture series. The lecture series started during the fall, but resumed this semester. To help define “whiteness,” Dionne instructed the student attendees to chant “imperialist, capitalist, white supremacist patriarchy,” a phrase originating from feminist and self-avowed socialist bell hooks, who spells her name...

Immigration Expert: Obama’s ‘Catch And Release’ Policy Allowed Illegal Alien Rape Suspects into the U.S.

by Katie McHugh An alleged rapist was delivered from Central America to a school hallway in Maryland by former President Barack Obama’s policy of treating economic migrants as if they were victims of crime, said an expert on illegal immigration. “The only reason the older youth, Sanchez Milian, was in the country at all was because of the Obama administration’s catch and release policies that allowed him to be resettled in Maryland (with the support of taxpayers), with few questions asked,” the Center for Immigration Studies’ Director of Policy Jessica Vaughan told Breitbart News. “Few groups of illegal immigrants have left… View Article

Maryland Lawmakers Vote To Become A Sanctuary State, Pass Bill Banning Police From Enforcing Immigration Laws

Thankfully, Maryland’s GOP Governor has vowed to veto the legislation, (Reuters) – Maryland’s House of Delegates on Monday approved legislation to bar police statewide from checking the immigration status of individuals they arrest or keeping them locked up longer than otherwise warranted at the request of federal agents seeking to deport them. The state Senate in Annapolis, which like the lower house of the General Assembly is controlled by Democrats, has yet to consider the bill, and Republican Governor Larry Hogan issued a statement vowing to veto the measure if it reached his desk. “This legislation would interfere with...

Lindsey Graham questions Gorsuch about impeaching Trump

By Ryan Lovelace (@LovelaceRyanD) South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham on Tuesday questioned Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch about what it would take to impeach President Trump. The Republican senator used a portion of his time for questions at the Senate Judiciary Committee’s hearing to probe Gorsuch about the impeachment process. “In case President Trump is watching, which he may very well be, one you did a good job picking Judge Gorsuch,” Graham said to laughs, “and number two—here’s the bad part—if you start waterboarding people, you may get impeached. Is that a fair summary?” “Senator, the impeachment power belongs...
