Soros-Funded Firm Fighting Texas Executive Amnesty Injunction In the States

by Lana Shadwick An illegal alien, represented by a George Soros-funded law firm, has filed a lawsuit to fight the judicial action blocking illegal aliens from receiving benefits under President Obama’s executive amnesty program. The injunction was left standing by the U.S. Supreme Court in June. The plaintiff illegal alien in the California lawsuit, Rocio Sanchez Ponce, contends that the legal block does not apply to her because a nationwide injunction against amnesty is improper and unlawful. She and two other plaintiffs from other “pro-amnesty” areas, New York and Illinois, are trying to have the nationwide injunction confined to...

Hillary Loses the Left

by Julia Hahn While Donald Trump has been consolidating his base of support, the opposite appears to be happening for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, who seems to be hemorrhaging supporters from her progressive base. Clinton’s long-running rift with the progressive left has been a vulnerability for her throughout her campaign — dating back to the Democratic primary. Yet, in the closing days of the 2016 campaign, the rift has been laid bare through a combination of WikiLeaks revelations, a series of high-profile endorsements for Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein from progressives like Marc Lamont Hill, Cornel West, and Susan… View Article

Janet Reno, who rose from a rustic life on the edge of the Everglades to become attorney general of the United States — the first woman to hold the job — and whose eight years in that office placed her in the middle of some of the most divisive episodes of the Clinton presidency, died on Monday at age 78. She died at her home in Miami-Dade County, Fla., from complications of Parkinson’s disease, according to her sister, Margaret Hurchalla. The disease was diagnosed in November 1995, while she was still in office. Ms. Reno’s tenure as attorney general...

Blue-Collar Wave In Midwest States Could Carry Donald Trump To Oval Office

by Neil Munro Republicans are hoping a midwestern blue-collar wave can carry Donald Trump to the White House, and there’s growing statistical and anecdotal evidence that their hopes are justified. Nate Silver, the left’s favorite polling guru, posted a chart on Sunday showing Trump is doing far better in midwestern states than Gov. Mitt Romney did in 2012. Silver’s analysis shows Trump has gained 6 points over Romney in Ohio and Iowa, and has closed the gap with Hillary Clinton down to almost error-margin levels in crucial Michigan and Pennsylvania. That midwestern success is what gives Trump a one-third...
