Twitter Head Says He’s ‘Sorry’ Free Speech Led To Trump’s Election

By: Ben Shapiro On Saturday, the co-founder of Twitter apologized for his creation. Why? Because it allowed the election of Donald Trump. In an interview with The New York Times, Evan Williams explained, “I think the internet is broken. And it’s a lot more obvious to a lot of people that it’s broken.” This is silliness, of course – the internet isn’t broken, any more than guns are “broken” just because bad people use them sometimes. The internet is a tool that can do wonderful good or great evil. But Williams, like many of the left, believes that if...

Centralized “Truth” – 13 Ways To Fight Fake News (And The Big Problem With All Of Them)

Will humans or computer algorithms be the future arbiters of “truth”? The following infographic from Futurism sums up the ideas that academics, technologists, and other experts are proposing that we implement to stop the spread of fake news. Below the infographic, Visual Capitalist’s Jeff Desjardins raises concerns about each of these methods. Courtesy of: Visual Capitalist While fake news is certainly problematic, the solutions proposed to penalize articles deemed to be “untrue” are just as scary. By centralizing fact checking, a system is created that is inherently fragile, biased, and prone for abuse. Furthermore, the idea of axing websites that are deemed...

Duke Divinity School Ousts Un-PC Professor for Questioning ‘Racial Equity Training’

by Thomas D. Williams, Ph.D. Duke Divinity School has forced out a professor who refused to kowtow to the liberal academic zeitgeist in a latest example of the demise of free intellectual inquiry and expression on America’s college campuses. The crime of Prof. Paul Griffiths, a professor at Duke Divinity School, was openly speaking his mind regarding a racial equity training program offered on campus. When one professor praised the program in a faculty-wide email, Griffiths responded in kind by advising his fellow professors to avoid the workshop as an “anti-intellectual” exercise in political correctness.  The row began in February,… View Article

Watch Lawmakers Claim The State Owns Your Children

By Annabelle Bamforth Legislators in Texas have been working toward passing a host of laws to reform the state’s Child Protective Services agency. New legislation has been crafted to improve the agency which has seen multiple dilemmas resulting in detrimental safety problems for children in the state. There have been several bills introduced this year aimed at improving the agency. One bill, in particular, House Bill 39, seeks in part to require medical exams to be performed more quickly on children who have been newly placed into the foster care system. HB 39, introduced by Rep. Gene Wu (D-Houston), would mandate...

In Case ‘the Big Media’ Didn’t Tell You: ‘March 4 Trump’ Rallies Took Place in 40 States, 52 Cities

by Mark Anderson Donald Trump supporters who gathered for a “March 4 Trump” in the Texas capital clearly had had enough of media diatribes against Trump—calculated to defame and destabilize President Trump and his administration when he’s only been in office for about two months. Many people sense that a fair, accurate journalistic critique of the 45th president is too much of a stretch for the mainstream media. The Austin supporters, like others at similar marches nationwide, also had had their fill of anti-Trump protestors littering and destroying property or threatening to do so—including singer Madonna’s Jan. 21 call...
