Lloyd Grove The abrupt end of a beautiful friendship—nearly two decades of mutual admiration between struggling media entrepreneur Glenn Beck and his fired top executive, Christopher Balfe—has become a legal battle of ugly accusations that only promise to get uglier. “Beck has driven [Mercury Radio Arts, Beck’s wholly owned private umbrella company] into the ground due to his own erratic behavior, excessive spending, and mismanagement,” Balfe alleges in a countersuit filed Monday...

Feds under fire for saying B.C.’s ‘model’ carbon tax ‘must increase’ eventually as part of national levy

By Peter O’Neil, Vancouver Sun  Conservatives pounced Monday on federal Environment Minister Catherine McKenna’s threat to unilaterally impose a national carbon tax that will eventually be increased beyond B.C.’s trend-setting $30-a-tonne charge. They were responding to McKenna’s declaration on the weekend that Ottawa will set a nationwide minimum rate if provinces can’t agree later this year on a national plan to reduce carbon emissions. On Monday she told reporters that B.C.’s tax, while a “model” for the rest of the country, “must increase” as part of the national effort to meet Canada’s emissions-reduction targets. A federal official said B.C....

Police: Our Last Line of Defense for Innocent Americans

Press secretary calls terrorism a ‘war of narratives’ while our bravest face the reality day after day by Deirdre Reilly Josh Earnest, the White House press secretary, called terrorism a “war of narratives” during his media rounds recently. Detective Brian O’Donnell of New York would probably disagree. Who knows how many lives the cops saved — at great risk to their own. He received 70 stitches after being hacked in the face by Akram Joudeh last Thursday. Joudeh is a Palestinian with a Jordanian passport who had been likely living out of his car and has prior arrests involving...

Globalist Obama Trashes American Sovereignty

Speaking at U.N., president attacks rise of ‘right-wing populism,’ takes open digs at Donald Trump by Edmund Kozak President Barack Obama addressed the United Nations General Assembly Tuesday morning, defending globalization and attacking those who wish to defend their national sovereignty and interests. His message was clear: The nations of the world must forfeit their own security, both physical and economic, and their cultural identities to advance the one global order. “I am convinced in the long run, giving up some freedom of action … enhances our security.” “I believe at this moment we all face a choice” between a “better model...

Guardian Attacks Gay, Feminist, Sex Assault Victim, Declares Europe’s Migrant Rape Epidemic ‘Made Up’

by Raheem Kassam The Guardian’s U.S. bureau appears to have denied the Rotherham and Cologne rape scandals as “made up” while attacking a gay, feminist, sexual assault victim and Breitbart contributor, claiming her experiences of sexually aggressive migrant men is “openly, wildly racist”. The sex assault-denying Guardian has attempted to discredit an article by former left-wing activist and LGBT and women’s rights campaigner Anne-Marie Waters who wrote an article in October 2015 which was subsequently tweeted out by Donald Trump Jr on Tuesday morning. The paper’s U.S. election live blog said of the article: “What Donald Trump Jr is tweeting...
