DNC turns up music to drown out Kaine dissenters
By Olaf Ekberg It was a battle of volume on the floor of the Democratic National Convention this afternoon. As Tim Kaine’s name was put into nomination, opponents began chanting “roll call vote” as a way to stymie the process. In reaction, CNN reports, DNC organizers simply cranked up the music to drown out the dissenters. CNN reporter Jeff Zeleny says delegations from Louisiana, Colorado and Delaware chanted, “roll call, roll call,” as Kaine’s nomination was whisked through on a voice vote.
