Fifteen Years of Putin As the Russian President looks forward to the fifteenth anniversary of his first election to office, we consider some of the factors that explain his extraordinary political success. The latest documentary on Putin shown by Russian television appears to be timed to coincide with Putin’s 15 years in office. I should say that I do not entirely understand the timing.
