Florida Campus Carry Bill Passes Subcommittee On March 16, the Florida Senate Higher Education Subcommittee passed SB 176, campus carry legislation, by a vote of 6-3. SB 176 is supported by the NRA but opposed by Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in American, Everytown for Gun Safety, and other gun control groups. According to The News-Press, the NRA and pro-Second Amendment senators support the measure because it will allow women to carry guns with which to fight off sexual predators.
