GOP Lawmaker Introduces Bill to Sever U.S. Ties With United Nations
A bill introduced into Congress this month would end U.S. membership in the United Nations. According to WMAZ, the American Sovereignty Restoration Act (H.R. 193), sponsored by Rep. Mike Rogers, R-Ala., would also end the 1947 agreement that houses the U.N. headquarters in New York City, end U.S. funding for U.N. peacekeeping operations and end U.S. participation in the World Health Organization, among other measures.
