Digital Media Set to Overtake TV Viewing According to eMarketer, the amount of time Americans spend every day using digital media will overtake the time spent watching TV this year for the first time. Adults will average 5 hours each day online as opposed to 4 hours and 31 minutes watching TV. Online time will rise 15.8%; TV time will decline slightly.
