Keystone XL offers Obama opportunity to ensure energy security The standoff between President Barack Obama and the U.S. Senate moved a step closer to an all-out showdown this week as legislation to approve the Keystone XL pipeline project passed by a vote of 62 to 36, five votes shy of the magic number needed to override a presidential veto.
