Target Shooting, $10 Billion into U.S. Economy Annually National Shooting Sports Foundation’s (NSSF) Steve Sanetti opened a 2014 SHOT Show press conference by mentioning that while everyone knows gun sales are generating wealth on Wall Street and main street alike, few know that “billions of dollars are pumped into the U.S. economy every year through target shooting.” Literature passed around during the press conference details what kind of money is in view. NBC Sports Ends Sponsorship of Nation’s Largest Gun Show NBC Sports’ relationship with the nation’s largest gun show is apparently over. According to Variety, the network will not be a sponsor of January’s Shooting Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show in Las Vegas. “Our level of sponsorship has varied each year, and this January we will not be sponsoring the show because it does not make business sense for us at this time,” a representative for the network said.
