Facebook Broadens Gun Ban to Include Gun Safety Ads, Storage Devices When North Carolina’s Hyatt Guns sought to buy ad space on Facebook to run ads for safes to “secure guns from unauthorized use” they were told such ads were not allowed because of the social media giant’s firearm/bb gun/paintball gun ad ban. Hyatt wanted the safe and vault sale ad to run for a month, beginning November 11.
