Mexico protests Texas National Guard troops on US border

Mexico protests Texas National Guard troops on US border Mexico’s foreign ministry late Friday protested Texas Governor Rick Perry’s deployment of National Guard troops to the southern US border to halt the surge of child migrants. Mexico “reiterates, in a firm and categorical way, its rejection of this measure,” read a statement from the foreign ministry. “No circumstance at all or change in border security exists that justifies this measure taken by the state.” The troop deployment “does not contribute in any way to solving the immigration problem,” and is inconsistent with US-Mexico talks aimed at “building a modern, prosperous… View Article

Perry Indictment Looks Pretty Sketchy

David Axelrod: ‘Perry Indictment Looks Pretty Sketchy’ Texas Republican Governor Rick Perry was indicted by a grand jury Friday for using his budget powers to force the removal of a District Attorney arrested last year in a humiliating and very public drunk driving incident. Saturday morning, however, Perry finds himself with the unlikeliest of defenders. Using his Twitter account, David Axelrod, a senior aide and confidante to President Obama, wrote: “Unless he was demonstrably trying to scrap the ethics unit for other than his stated reason, Perry indictment seems pretty sketchy.” Even Ben White of the left-wing Politico came to… View Article

Texas Border Rancher Makes Frightening Discovery

Texas Border Rancher Makes Frightening Discovery Mike Vickers owns a sleepy little 1,000 acre ranch that borders the U.S.-Mexico border. Vickers says that a minimum of 30 illegal immigrants cross his ranch, each and every day. The problem is that the Border Patrol station is just over five miles away and getting help to the ranch is time is just useless most days. Vickers recently found something on his ranch that one of the illegal-aliens dropped, and that single find has Vickers, the local community and the entire Border Patrol in alarm. In May, Vickers discovered a dictionary on his… View Article
