Chris Christie Vetoes ‘Smart Gun’ Bill, Urges Loosening of Concealed Carry Restrictions
by AWR Hawkins On August 24, Governor Chris Christie (R) vetoed a bill requiring retailers to stock “smart guns” and urged Democratic lawmakers to loosen restrictions on concealed carry in the state of New Jersey. According to New Jersey 101.5, the “smart gun” bill would have forced “gun retailers to stock up” on guns designed to fire only when in the hands of an authorized user.
