‘I can think of no logical explanation for these new mandates other than more political lip service. A further push for control, maybe.’
(LifeSiteNews) — The Limestone District School Board in Kingston, Ontario, unveiled a new policy on Tuesday that bans unvaccinated children from school sports teams and clubs.
In a statement on Tuesday, Limestone District School Board’s (LDSB) Director of Education, Krishna Burra, announced that the board is actively barring any children 12 and older who have not been “fully vaccinated” against COVID-19 from taking part in school sports and other extra-curricular clubs.
Therefore, effective immediately, all eligible participants (born 2009 and earlier) including students, staff, officials and volunteers in all inter-school sports and some high-risk activities like extra-curricular music programs must be fully vaccinated (two doses plus 14-day waiting period),” Burra wrote on behalf of the board.
“Unvaccinated participants and participants with an approved medical exemption or an approved accommodation under the Human Rights Code must complete twice weekly testing.”
The statement clarifies that not all students who are “unvaccinated” will be allowed to opt for the “twice weekly testing” option: Only children with an “approved” exemption, or those who are “in the process of acquiring full vaccination status” — defined as someone who will receive their second shot by the end of the first week in November — will qualify for the testing option.
According to Canadian constitutional rights lawyer Rocco Galati, subjecting people to medical tests as a condition for goods and services is a criminal offence in Canada under the Genetic Non-Discrimination Act.
The law defines a “genetic test” as “a test that analyzes DNA, RNA or chromosomes for purposes such as the prediction of disease or vertical transmission risks, or monitoring, diagnosis or prognosis.”
