Gun Control Advocate: Ban Anything With a Sharp Edge

A video has emerged of a gun control advocate at a Second Amendment rally in Philadelphia arguing that not only guns but knives, nails, forks and anything with a sharp edge should be banned and that the government should develop new kitchen utensils that are unable to harm people in order to keep everybody safe. The video, published by Story Leak’s Anthony Gucciardi, is a shocking illustration of how vehemently many Americans support the nanny state. After arguing that countries like England, Holland and Australia are safer because everybody is disarmed (violent crime is actually far higher), the individual makes… View Article

Russia’s upper house, the Federation House, has approved a bill introducing fines for propaganda of non-traditional sex relations to minors, including in the media, on the internet and via viral adverts. Some 137 senators voted for the draft law which introduces  administrative liability and fines of up to a million roubles  (over US$ 30,000) for promotion of homosexuality among children.  One senator abstained from voting and no one voted against the  legislation. The controversial bill – which critics fear may spark a wave of  homophobia in the country – was approved by the lower house, the  State Duma, on… View Article

Snowden deserves political asylum – Russian HR officials

Members of the Russian Presidential Council for Human rights said that it would be justified if the US whistleblower Edward Snowden received political asylum in a country of his choice, including Russia. The head of Russia’s top official Human Rights Body, Mikhail  Fedotov, told reporters on Wednesday that it would be just if  some country grants Snowden political asylum. He added that the  reports that the Venezuelan government was ready to look into  such request were “raising good hope” and that it was his  personal impression that the whistleblower “would get  political asylum where he wants”. “He must be… View Article

Enemy of freedom Lindsey Graham says he would support censoring mail for ‘national security’ purposes

If there is any remaining doubt in your mind about the fact that the federal  government today has been completely overrun by sociopathic, freedom-hating  enemies of the U.S. Constitution, some recent absurd statements made by South  Carolina Senator (and full-fledged American traitor) Lindsey Graham, a  Republican, should put all such doubt to rest. When questioned recently  about the unveiling of the massive and insanely illegal National Security  Agency (NSA) spying and surveillance program, which involved tracking the  online activities of innocent Americans without warrant, Graham expressed his  full approval for the initiative. He also went a step further, indicating… View Article

Senate Holds Hearings on Bill C-304

Last week, the Senate  of Canada passed Bill C-304 on Second Reading and sent the bill onto the Standing  Senate Committee on Human Rights.  Bill C-304 is a private  members bill which will repeal the ravenous censorship of Section 13, of  the Canadian “Human Rights” Act.  Section 13 makes it an  offence to “likely” “expose” privileged groups to  “hatred and/or contempt.” There are NO defences under Section  13!  Even truth and intent are considered irrelevant to a finding of  discrimination. The law was enacted in 1977 in  order to silence a man named… View Article

97% Opposed To TSA Body Scanners

After two and a half years of stalling, delaying and ignoring court orders, the TSA this week finally completed its public notice and comment rulemaking period regarding the mass rollout of body scanners in airports. The results don’t look good for the agency. Comments ranged from covering the health issues surrounding the machines, to the invasion of privacy, and the fact that the machines can be fooled and fairly easily bypassed by anyone who has the know how. The TSA says it has been able to process 4,321 comments thus… View Article
