By B.N. Frank Experts have warned that electric vehicle (EV) mandates actually threaten the U.S. grid and will increase (not decrease) the need for fossil fuels. Additionally U.S. grid operators have warned of the potential for blackouts if the switch to renewable energy isn’t slowed down. EV fires have also been an ongoing problem which has led to investigations and recalls (see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8).
