Ever wanted a pump-action slingshot that fires knives?

From deep in his Bavarian bunker, Joerg Sprave gets back into the slingshot game with a pump action repeater that is fed by Kunai knives. Magazine fed, Joerg’s projector will hold eight of the sharp Kunai blades. A rubber band-powered sled hurls the blade down a channel made by aluminum guides and out the front. It seems crazy simple but JS pledges to make an all-aluminum version to crank up the power. We get the idea that Joerg’s house has a lot of battle damage.

University of Texas Will Let Students and Faculty Bring Guns to Class

Alicia Powe Walking in the dark. Studying in a private area. Criminal activity set us up for the need to protect ourselves. What remains a mystery to pro-gun advocates is why a college campus should be thought of as somehow separate or different from any other place that people live and work when it comes to issues of self-defense. Texas’ universities used to be gun-free zones under the state’s concealed handgun laws, but the Republican-dominated legislature voted last year to force public universities to allow license holders to bring their guns to campus. The president of the University of Texas...

A woman had just returned to her home from an evening of church services, when she was startled by an intruder. She caught the man in the act of robbing her home of its valuables and yelled: ‘Stop! The woman calmly called the police and explained what she had done. As the officer cuffed the man to take him in, he asked the burglar: ‘Why did you just stand there? All the old lady...

NRA-ILA GRASSROOTS VOLUME 23, NUMBER 4

LEGAL & LEGISLATION  NEWS Chief Justice Barack Obama? Here’s perhaps the most compelling argument we’ve heard against Hillary Clinton’s bid for the White House. Continuing her streak of adopting terrible (and perhaps planted) suggestions raised at campaign stops, Clinton on Tuesday called the appointment of Barack Obama to the U.S. Supreme Court “a great idea,” according to an article in the Washington Examiner. Should that happen, Obama’s continued assault on the rights of America’s gun owners could last for decades. LEGAL & LEGISLATION  NEWS House Democrats Ask Obama to Expand Rifle Ban On January 11, approximately 90 Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives...

Study: Economists’ Consensus Is Concealed Carry Lowers Crime

by AWR Hawkins A recently released Crime Research Prevention Center (CRPC) study on academics and concealed carry in the United States shows that economists’ consensus is overwhelmingly that concealed carry lowers crime. The study surveyed “50 economists,” comprised of 43 Americans, four Canadians, two Australians, and one Swedish economist. CRPC asked, “In the United States, are guns used in self-defense more often than they are used in the commission of a crime?” When allowing for three possible answers of “Yes,” “No,” or “Undecided,” sixty-six percent of economists in the U.S. answered “Yes,” guns are used more often for self-defense. When only… View Article

On February 4, 2016, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit issued its long-awaited opinion in Kolbe v. Hogan, the NRA and CRPA supported challenge to Maryland’s outlier bans on black rifles and standard capacity magazines (pejoratively labeled “assault weapons” and “large-capacity” magazines by the state). (You can read all the briefs at michellawyers.com/kolbe-v-omalley/). In a 2-1 decision, the Appeals Court held that Maryland’s rifle and magazine bans significantly burden the “core” Second Amendment rights of...
