Director Juan Osuna and Deputy Director Ana Kocur, both appointed by former President Barack Obama, announced their resignations Friday in an email to all EOIR employees, according to a report in Politico. No reason appears to be given for their resignations, but the pair reportedly will depart the agency, which oversees all the Department of Justice’s immigration judges, at the end of the month.  Sessions announced his pick for an acting… View Article

By Matt Agorist In what is begin hailed as one of the largest prosecutions of its kind in US history, dozens of high-level modern-day slave traders were indicted this week in the US for enslaving hundreds of young women. Spreading from coast to coast, authorities are calling it a sophisticated sex trafficking ring that forced hundreds of women to be “modern day sex slaves.” Naturally, the root cause of the state finding the organization wasn’t the sex slaves — it was was the concealment of millions of dollars. Denver Decriminalizes Public Defecation To Make Life Easier For Migrants, Homeless

Making Denver Great Again? by Hannah Mayer Making Denver Great Again … by allowing public defecation? That’s the latest from the progressive city that seeks to ensure it “will not sacrifice” its “values or bend to a broken immigration system.” The Denver City Council voted Monday to approve major sentencing reform (in other words, making penalties more lenient) on Class I and II offenses. The latter cover crimes like public defecation, panhandling and camping out on the sidewalk. KUSA reports: City leaders and immigrant rights advocates argued the changes will protect Denver’s immigrant community from facing unintended consequences. “Many times it becomes a deportable offense...

Byron York: On travel ban, judges reach ‘Trump only’ decision

by Byron York There’s a glaring political divide in the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals decision to stop President Trump’s revised executive order limiting entry into the U.S. for some people from a few terror-plagued Muslim-majority nations. The court ruled against the president by a solid 10 to 3 vote. All ten on the winning side were appointed by Presidents Barack Obama or Bill Clinton. All three on the losing side were appointed by Presidents George W. Bush or George H.W. Bush. If anything, the decision shows the value of a two-term presidency in shaping the courts. The 4th...

Farmer faces $2.8 million fine after plowing field Damon Arthur , Record Searchlight

A farmer faces trial in federal court this summer and a $2.8 million fine for failing to get a permit to plow his field and plant wheat in Tehama County. A lawyer for Duarte Nursery said the case is important because it could set a precedent requiring other farmers to obtain costly, time-consuming permits just to plow their fields. “The case is the first time that we’re aware of that says you need to get a (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers) permit to plow to grow crops,” said Anthony Francois, an attorney for the Pacific Legal Foundation. “We’re not going...

Obama’s FBI Passed Around Classified Information On American Citizens To People Outside Government

By: Ben Shapiro A shocking report from Circa.com revealed on Friday that the FBI under director James Comey “illegally shared raw intelligence about Americans with unauthorized third parties and violated other constitutional privacy protections, according to newly declassified government documents.” That’s a bombshell charge — Comey told Congress earlier this month that the FBI only used warrantless data that was “lawfully collected, carefully overseen and checked” — but the specifics are even more damning. According to Circa, one ruling from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) “list[ed] hundreds of violations of the FBI’s privacy-protecting minimization rules that occurred on Comey’s watch.”...

While not mentioning President Trump by name, Obama made clear to whom he was leveling his criticism. “In this new world that we live in we can’t isolate ourselves,” Obama said. “We can’t hide behind a wall.” But that’s exactly what Obama is doing in his Washington, DC and Chicago homes. Crews have completed the...
