Great Leap? A little war of words on the West Coast

On Wednesday there was a debate over housing in Vancouver in the B.C. Legislative Assembly. The topic of discussion was the subject of “shadow flipping” in the Vancouver property market, which has grabbed headline space lately because of investigative revelations of dodgy practices in a leading local real-estate firm. I am not even sure “firm” is…

Syrian refugees tell MP finding jobs, learning language are hurdles

They might not yet be able to vote but that’s not stopping Syrians from taking part in one element of Canadian political life — giving their MP an earful. Over two dozen Syrians who’ve arrived in Canada since the fall were in Ottawa Thursday to get a tour, thanks to their member of Parliament Melanie Joly. The small reception she held for them on Parliament Hill at first had all the hallmarks of a typical political meet and greet, guests nibbling on hummus and chips before Joly came and began shaking hands and posing for photos. But then she asked...

Science Guy Bill Nye: Let’s Discuss Criminalizing ‘Climate Deniers

By Ryan Girdusky Galileo was jailed for heresy when he spoke against the theory that the Earth was the center of the universe. Thankfully, the Catholic Church no longer calls for imprisoning scientists or politicians who question popular opinion — only some Social Justice Warriors still demand jailing heretics. The Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT) posted a video to YouTube on Thursday with Bill Nye ‘The Science Guy,’ discussing whether “climate deniers” and energy CEOs should be jailed like war criminals. “We’ll see what happens, was it appropriate to jail the guys at Enron?” Nye asked. “Was it appropriate to jail...

By Brandon Turbeville The CIA is reportedly discussing a plan to augment the fighting capability of the terrorist forces they have been supporting in Syria since the beginning of the crisis in 2011 if the “ceasefire agreement” currently underway in Geneva falls apart. The discussion centers around the supply of weaponry that would help the jihadists better respond to the Syrian and Russian air forces. Trump-Hater Fires Up His Mouth, Gets Instantly Shutdown by HUGE Trump Fan

This Trump-hater thought that he was going to show up Trump supporters by protesting at a rally. Trump supporters had other plans, though… and this Trump-hater quickly realized he’d bitten off more than he could chew. This video came from Tuesday’s Trump rally in Pittsburgh. Apparently, this young protester decided he was going to come out and call all of the Trump supporters “fascists” as loudly as he could. However, he didn’t count on one thing: He looks like the skinny acoustic guitarist for some bad emo band that will never, ever make it. That’s not a good combination...

Obama Busted Bribing U.S. Company To Stay Silent About Terrible TPP Trade Deal

Ever since it became a topic of debate last year, the Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal appeared to be a bad deal for America. President Barack Obama claimed the bill would set new standards for trade and create advantages for American workers while he kept it shrouded in secrecy. Apparently, there was a reason why he kept secrets about the deal, and at least one company is calling out Obama on it. New Balance, maker of athletic shoes, claimed the Obama administration broke its promise to give the company a fair shot at military business if it stopped criticizing the deal....
