Trump’s phone-call diplomacy to Congress

By Susan Crabtree (@susancrabtree) President-elect Trump is taking a far more hands-on approach to working with Congress than his senator-turned-president predecessor. President Obama spent four years in the upper chamber, working closely with many colleagues on both sides of the aisle, but when voters sent him to the White House, he notoriously gave Capitol Hill the cold shoulder. Former congressional colleagues, even some of his biggest supporters, often described him as distant and aloof, a no-drama leadership style that eschewed President George W. Bush’s chummy nicknaming of lawmakers who he cultivated with regular White House lunch and dinner invitations....

Texas Judge Thwarts Obama Transgender Plan

It’s the second time Reed O’Connor has blocked the overreach of the Democrat president by Kathryn Blackhurst A federal judge in Texas issued another crushing blow to President Obama’s transgender agenda: The judge on Saturday granted a temporary injunction halting federal health officials’ efforts to enforce rules that would “likely violate” the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. In a 46-page decision, U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor sided with the state and ruled that the Obama administration’s attempts to tailor health regulations while bolstering transgendered individuals’ rights would “likely violate” the RFRA by placing “substantial pressure on Plaintiffs to perform and...

5 Thugs Try To Kill Cops Roadside, Get Nasty Surprise They Never Saw Coming

by Amanda Shea A pair of Oklahoma City police officers stopped a man for a traffic violation but couldn’t get him to follow orders and hang up his phone, so they were forced to call for backup. Shortly after two more officers arrived, a pack of four thugs were right behind them and attempted to kill all four cops, but the criminals got a nasty surprise they didn’t see coming. Tavone Payne was driving alone through town at about 9:30 p.m. when two patrolling officers saw him commit a moving vehicle violation. Although he stopped when instructed to pull...

by Jim Hoft Mychal Massie is a Donald Trump supporter. On Friday Mychal posted a video from the gun vault room in his home with a cigar and Bible. Mychal Massie: We’re clinging to our guns and Bibles. We’re clinging to them but we’re not clinging to them because we’re angry anymore. We’re clinging to them now because we’re thrilled and full of joy that we no longer must be concerned to the extent of the first amendment and the second amendment being taken away from us. So as this year closes we look forward to a president of...

Obama could still force Merrick Garland onto court during ‘intersession recess’

President Obama will have one last chance to force Judge Merrick Garland onto the U.S. Supreme Court on Tuesday – but it’s a legal gamble and one that has so many pitfalls that even those who say he could get away with it believe it isn’t worth the fight. Mr. Obama’s moment will come just before…

Washington Warmongers Make 11th Hour Attempt To Start a War With Russia

In the final days of Barack Obama’s presidency, the warmongers in Washington, DC are hell-bent on causing as much chaos as possible. If they don’t manage to start a war with Russia before Donald Trump is sworn in, it won’t be for lack of trying. The Military Industrial Complex stands to profit by billions of dollars if this comes to fruition. War is very profitable for politicians and their corporate cronies, but for the rest of us, it would inflict a heavy toll. (If you haven’t read it yet, I strongly recommend picking up a copy of the anti-war...

Poll: Transgender Goal Supported by Only 22.7 Percent of Americans

by Neil Munro A new survey shows that fewer than one-in-four Americans agree that people should be allowed to freely change their legal sex by switching their preferred “gender identity.” Only 22.7 percent of people in the poll said people should be allowed to change their recorded sex or “gender identity” on government documents whenever they wish, said the poll.  In contrast, 44.6 percent of respondents said people should be allowed to switch their legal sex, but only after medical tests or a government check. Twenty-three percent opposed any sex-related change to identity documents, and 17.1 percent declined to...

Climate Change Skeptics Welcome Open Debate Under Trump Presidency

by Thomas D. Williams, Ph.D. After years of imposed “scientific consensus” on global warming, a number of skeptical climate scientists are hopeful that their views may finally get a hearing under the new administration. Georgia Tech scientist Judith Curry, for instance, labelled a “climate heretic” by Scientific American for her contrarian views, sees a light at the end of the long Obama tunnel. “Here’s to hoping the Age of Trump will herald the demise of climate change dogma, and acceptance of a broader range of perspectives in climate science and our policy options,” she wrote last month on her...

13-Year-Old Boy Permanently Disabled From Chicken Pox Vaccine Wins His Case in Vaccine Court

By Missy Fluegge A young man was recently awarded compensation in the United States Court of Federal Claims Vaccine Court, for injuries he sustained after being administered the hepatitis A and varicella vaccinations in 2009.  After five long years of litigation, Health and Human Services (HHS), the Respondent in all vaccine injury cases, conceded that the varicella vaccination did in fact cause RD’s vaccine injury, transverse myelitis, which has left him a tetraplegic. In November 2014, HHS conceded that the vaccination caused RD’s injuries.  Even with this concession, his case continued for another year in the damages phase, during which...
