Home Invasion Suspect Flees After 19-Year-Old Woman Shoots Him

by AWR Hawkins Police say home invasion suspect Kyle Dashun Williams fled the scene after kicking in an apartment door and getting shot by a 19-year-old woman on Wednesday night. According to CBS 47, police believe 21-year-old Williams was either by himself or had one accomplice with him during the attempted invasion, which occurred around 6 p.m. in Jacksonville, Florida. Palm Springs City Council: Guns in Homes Must Be Disabled

by AWR Hawkins On Wednesday night Palm Springs city council voted for a new gun control measure requiring firearms in the home to be disabled with a locking mechanism or otherwise locked in a container. The new gun control also includes a requirement that residents report a stolen gun within 48 hours and that concealed carry permit holders place guns “in a locked container” if leaving them in their cars. Sales of AR-15s with ‘Bullet Buttons’ Surge Ahead of New Gun Controls
