Home Invasion Suspect Flees After 19-Year-Old Woman Shoots Him

by AWR Hawkins Police say home invasion suspect Kyle Dashun Williams fled the scene after kicking in an apartment door and getting shot by a 19-year-old woman on Wednesday night. According to CBS 47, police believe 21-year-old Williams was either by himself or had one accomplice with him during the attempted invasion, which occurred around 6 p.m. in Jacksonville, Florida. The woman was home alone at the time and opened fire once the door was kicked in. Police said Williams fled the scene and was apprehended at “CareSpot” while seeking treatment for his gunshot wound. Palm Springs City Council: Guns in Homes Must Be Disabled

by AWR Hawkins On Wednesday night Palm Springs city council voted for a new gun control measure requiring firearms in the home to be disabled with a locking mechanism or otherwise locked in a container. The new gun control also includes a requirement that residents report a stolen gun within 48 hours and that concealed carry permit holders place guns “in a locked container” if leaving them in their cars.
