Take Sex Breaks on Work Time, Suggests Swedish Councillor

by Breitbart London Swedes should take a one-hour paid break from work to go home and have sex with their partners, a local councillor suggested in a proposal Tuesday aimed at improving people’s personal relationships. “There are studies that show sex is healthy,” Per-Erik Muskos, a 42-year-old city councillor for the northern town of Overtornea, told AFP after presenting the motion. He said couples were not spending enough time with each other in today’s society. “It’s about having better relationships,” he said. He noted there was no way to verify that employees do not use their hour for other...

Straight Couple Lose Court Battle to Enter Into Civil Partnership

by Donna Rachel Edmunds A heterosexual couple have lost their legal battle to enter into a civil partnership. Academics Rebecca Steinfeld, 35, and Charles Keidan, 40, wanted to secure legal recognition of their seven-year relationship by entering into a civil partnership, rejecting marriage as they claim it carries “patriarchal baggage”. However, they have been prevented from doing so because the Civil Partnership Act 2004 stipulates that only same-sex couples are eligible. In November the couple, who have a seven-month-old daughter, challenged a decision by High Court judge Mrs Justice Andrews to dismiss their judicial review action. But on Tuesday their challenge...

KASSAM: What I Saw in Sweden Last Week is Not ‘Normal’ And Trump is Right

by Raheem Kassam When I got off the train at Malmo’s Central station last week and dragged my suitcase noisily over the cobbled pavements I thought to myself, “There’s no way this place has ‘No Go Zones’”. Downtown Malmo is a gorgeous though freezing cold place to visit in February. I checked into my hotel — passing between a “Burger King” and a “Schwarma King” along the way, the latter of which recently took the spot of the “Stortogets Gatukok” in Malmo’s Great Square — and set off for my destination: Rosengard. Much has been written about Sweden’s “No...

Lawmakers to Request Probe of $418M Arms Sale to Kenya on Obama’s Last Day

by Kristina Wong A group of lawmakers is planning to request a congressional investigation of a $418 million U.S. weapons sale to Kenya approved by the Obama administration on its last day in office. The sale, approved by the State Department and privately notified to Congress on January 19, would allow Kenya to buy 14 weaponized crop-duster-like planes — including two trainer planes and services, for missions against terrorist group al-Shabaab. The deal was publicly announced the Monday after Trump’s inauguration. A handful of lawmakers, led by Rep. Ted Budd (R-NC), are questioning why the contract to produce the...

DHS Removes Obama’s ‘Handcuffs’ on Border Patrol Agents

by Bob Price The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) removed “handcuffs” placed on Border Patrol agents by the Obama Administration, freeing them to expand border enforcement operations. DHS Secretary John F. Kelly lifted most of the restrictions imposed on Border Patrol agents under the previous administration and ordered Border Patrol agents expand their efforts to enforce laws against illegal border crossings. The order came in a memo obtained by Breitbart Texas from DHS officials and discontinued President Obama’s “catch and release” program known as the “Priority Enforcement Program” (PEP) enacted on November 20, 2014. The order leaves in place,...

Bloomberg News Admits The Fed Manipulates Gold

By Dave Kranzler “Yellen Can’t Halt Trump Gold Rally That Funds Bet Against” – That was the headline in a Bloomberg news report that was released on Sunday afternoon. There’s a lot going on in that headline – none of it accurate except for the fact that gold is moving higher despite the efforts of Western Central Banks to cap the price. The basic premise of the report is that gold is moving higher in defiance of the Fed’s apparent move to raise interest rates. Reading through the report reveals even more misleading and completely false information than is conveyed...

French police raid headquarters of Marine Le Pen’s Front National party

Far-right candidate claims search of party HQ is a ‘media operation’ Gerard Bon French police were searching the headquarters of Marine Le Pen’s National Front party west of Paris on Monday in relation to an alleged “fake jobs” probe. The European parliament’s anti-fraud agency, Olaf, has said that, in her role as French National Front leader Le Pen had during the 2011-12 legislature paid party staff with EU funds, which EU rules say should be used only to pay EU lawmakers’ assistants. But the FN accused the authorities of staging a media stunt to discredit them. “It looks on the...

Congress Slashes Funding For NASA’s Global Warming Research

Andrew Follett  Energy and Science Reporter The U.S. Senate passed legislation recently cutting funding for NASA’s global warming research. The House is expected to pass the bill, and President Trump will likely sign it. Supporters say it “re-balances” NASA’s budget back toward space exploration and away from global warming and earth science research. Republicans plan to end the more than $2 billion NASA spends on its Earth Science Mission Directorate. “By rebalancing, I’d like for more funds to go into space exploration; we’re not going to zero out earth sciences,” Texas Republican Rep. Lamar Smith, who chairs the House...
